In 463 AD, after the brutal Battle of Orléans, the Roman victors took more than life and property. They took a way of life. Among the spoils: seven Visigoth women, torn from their homes and paraded for vanity.

But that wasn’t the end of the story?

It was the beginning of something no empire could erase and has endured since?

This is the story of that beginning. This is the Gathering.

Why I Wrote This Story

I’ve always been drawn to the quite voices in history, especially those vocalized in the margins, between battles and beneath crowns. The quiet strength of the forgotten, the generational impact of choices made in desperation, and the invisible threads that bind past to present… those are the stories that can move us.

The Bond of Teadorica: The Gathering is the first volume in a seven-book epic that spans sixteen centuries. “Gathering” begins with a desperate escape, a newborn child, and a sacred covenant between women who had nothing left but each other.

This isn’t a tale of kings.

It’s the legacy of those who survived them.
